One of the most underrated benefits of living at CitySide is having Bayfront Park as your neighborhood waterfront. Stretching along Sarasota Bay just half a mile from home, it's the kind of place that makes you remember why you chose to live here.

Morning Walks & Runs

The waterfront path at Bayfront Park is one of the best morning run routes in the city. The flat, paved path follows the bay for nearly a mile with uninterrupted water views, cool bay breezes, and plenty of benches if you want to stop and watch the pelicans. Most CitySide residents make this a daily ritual.

Sunset Evenings

Bayfront Park is arguably the best place in downtown Sarasota to watch the sunset over the bay. Bring a bottle of wine, a blanket, and claim a spot on the grass facing west — it's one of those simple evenings that feels like a vacation. The park fills up on clear evenings, but it's never crowded.

Events & Activities

The park hosts regular community events throughout the year including outdoor concerts, art festivals, the Sarasota Farmers Market (Saturdays, nearby), and seasonal holiday events. The Sarasota Farmers Market is held on Lemon Avenue just north of the park every Saturday morning from 7am to 1pm — a local institution with fresh produce, local honey, handmade goods, and some of the best breakfast burritos in the city.

On the Water

The Marina Jack complex adjacent to the park offers kayak and paddleboard rentals, sunset dinner cruises, and sailing lessons. The Island Park area has shaded picnic tables and beautiful views of the marina. O'Leary's Tiki Bar & Grill is right on the water — casual dining with bay views and a relaxed atmosphere that's very hard to leave.

Dog-Friendly

Bayfront Park is dog-friendly and well-maintained. CitySide is a pet-friendly community, and this park is where you'll quickly meet your neighbors — and their dogs.
