After coffee, many residents head to the Bayfront Park waterfront path for a morning walk. The bay at 7am — calm water, herons fishing, the light just coming up — is genuinely beautiful. It's a 10-minute walk from CitySide and one of those daily rituals that reminds you why you chose to live here.

Brunch on Weekends

When you want a full brunch sit-down, Owen's Fish Camp on Pineapple Avenue is the local institution — Florida comfort food, strong Bloody Marys, and a shaded outdoor patio under oak trees. Expect a wait on Sunday mornings, but they take call-ahead seating. Nancy's Bar-B-Q opens for brunch on weekends with an excellent smoked brisket hash that has a devoted following.

Work-From-Home Days

If you work remotely, the cafés and co-working spaces in downtown Sarasota are excellent. Sarasota Co-op (coworking space) and several coffee shops have reliable WiFi and a comfortable work atmosphere. Breaking up the workday with a walk to the market or bay is a genuine quality-of-life upgrade that remote workers in downtown Sarasota take full advantage of.
